NYTT 2025 Fine Arts Graduation Exhibition at Art House Turku, Kunsthalle Turku\u2019s Iso Galleria, and Photographic Centre Peri showcases works by graduating visual artists from Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences. The thesis exhibition includes works from 18 artists, and takes over the galleries of Turku Old Town. Open Wed\u2013Fri 12\u20136 pm, Sat\u2013Sun 12\u20134 pm. The techniques used are diverse, from painting to visual poetry and detailed drawings. The sculptures and spatial works use both traditional and more contemporary materials, ranging from plaster and metal to latex and astroturf. The exhibition also includes lense-based art, performance, printmaking, and mechanical animation.<\/span> The graduating artists explore themselves and the world around them, each one from different perspective. Some artists focus on the body, memories, and stories, and others study nature, culture, and the aspects of light. For some the chosen medium is at the centre, and the works offer a profound view to the processes of painting, sculpture, and printmaking. The themes are in clear contrast with one another, inviting the spectator to enter each work\u2019s own world, meanings, and interpretations. The exhibition also includes additional activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The NYTT 2025 artists\u2019 teamwork has been strong, focused, and conversational, supporting the reflective and self-critical nature of the work process. Several of the graduating artists pay close attention to the spatial relations of their body of work and take advantage of multiple materials and techniques. This has allowed an experimental approach to the means of expression.<\/span> Performative and scientific approach both have a strong presence in the exhibition, and the artists have looked for and studied delicate, hard-to-define tones, adding new depth and layers to the work process.<\/span><\/em> \u2013 <\/span><\/i>Coordinating teachers of the artistic thesis process are Heini Aho and Henna-Riikka Halonen.<\/span><\/p>\n
