In my work, strangeness and forgetting is reflected as distortions external to human figures. The images of forgetting and oblivion, in turn, reflect loss. I consider my work a type of tightrope walking; however, I find the swaying more important than reaching the end.\u00a0I work on the pieces by drawing and painting. Lately, I\u2019ve started to experiment with larger pieces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aleksi Matikainen studied at Liminka School of Arts and the Free Art School. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in collective exhibitions since 2002.
