Opening on Thursday 4th December 5pm-7pm.

The group exhibition of graduating artists offers a contemporary look at the essence and possibilities of photography.

The group exhibition Valmis. Kesken. (Done. Undone.) by artists graduating from the Master of Culture and Arts in Photography at the Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences combines traditional and experimental photographic methods. The participating artists explore the essence and possibilities of photography from contemporary perspectives.

The artists address themes including construction of identity, invasive species, the magical qualities of photographic creation and perception, the role of errors and chance, personal family history, the encounter between humans and nature, the tension between life and the afterlife, and the properties of light.

The diversity of expression is reflected in the wide range of techniques used. The exhibition features analogue photographs, mixed-media works, installations, photographic collages, and digitally constructed images.

The exhibiting artists are Nina Ahtola, Outi Cavén-Pöysä, Jani Frisk, Anna K Greus, Laura Iisalo, Otso Kähönen, Simo Peteri, Pekka Pitkänen, Jussi Puikkonen, Jussi Ronkainen, and Riikka Ruotsalainen.
