Application period: Thursday, December 11th, 2025 – Sunday, February 1st, 2026

Photographic Centre Peri is a non-profit organization for photography and lens-based contemporary art, and one of Finland’s seven regional photography centres. Our aim is to promote the visibility of photographic art and to strengthen both local and international collaboration by fostering dialogue between artists and audiences through exhibitions, workshops, and courses.

We are now seeking exhibition proposals for 2026 for our new space, Kilta Gallery, located in Art House Turku. The open call is aimed for artists, collectives, and curators working professionally in the fields of photography and lens-based contemporary art. We particularly wish to highlight the work of underrepresented artists and bring attention to themes and topics that have received little or no visibility within the Finnish art field.

We are committed to ensuring that artists have equal and sustainable opportunities to showcase their work and engage with audiences. Peri does not charge a gallery rental fee for exhibitions at Kilta Gallery, and we pay an exhibition fee to every participating artist. Artists are part of our working community during installation and deinstallation, and we provide production support as well as a safe and encouraging working environment.

Exhibitions for Kilta Gallery’s Autumn 2026 season will be selected by a jury: artist and writer Shia Rówan Conlon, photographic artist Johanna Naukkarinen, and artist Kari Soinio.

A total of three exhibition slots, each approximately seven weeks in duration, are available. Exhibition proposals must be submitted via an online application form and include a project proposal with work samples (PDF, under 50 MiB) as well as a curriculum vitae.

Please submit your exhibition proposal and attachments by Sun February 1st, 2026 at 23.59 (UTC+2). Late submissions will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of the results during March 2026.
