The first exhibition of the anniversary year is going to be The 100th Annual Exhibition of the Turku Artists’ Association. It will be displayed at the Iso Gallery of Kunsthalle Turku from 12.1.–25.2.2024. The call for applications is open to all artists and art students from Southwest Finland. The exhibition is curated by poet and publisher Daniil Kozlov, artist name Susinukke Kosola.
The Member Exhibition Spring Salon 2024 of the Turku Artists´ Association will be displayed at the HAA-gallery in Suomenlinna, Helsinki, 21.3.–13.4.2024. The call for applications is open to the members of the Turku Artists’ Association. The exhibition is curated by the curator of collection Riitta Kormano.
You can apply to both exhibitions with the same form. The members of the Turku Artists’ Association can apply to both exhibitions, but a work from an artist can be selected for only one of the two exhibitions. All artists and art students from Southwest Finland can apply to the Annual Exhibition only.
Exhibition works are juried and curated anonymously. The curator of the Annual Exhibition selects the Turku Artists’ Associations artist of the year 2024 among the artists of the exhibition. The designated artist gets their own exhibition in Kunsthalle Turku in 2025.
The applications opens on Thursday the 17th of August at 6 pm and ends on Sunday the 9th of September at 11:59 pm.
An artist can propose a maximum of three (3) works / a set of works from any year. Only one work or set of works can be selected from the artist for either the annual exhibition or the members’ exhibition. An artist cannot be featured in both.
The subject, size/duration and technique of the works are free. Only finished, dry and ready-to-hang works / set of works can be proposed for the open call.
There must be one good-quality full-length image (JPG, file size max. 10 MB) of the works / set of works per work / set of works.

The artist is responsible for the safety of the work and that the work is not dangerous to the public. The artist selected for the annual exhibition is responsible for insuring and transporting the works to and from the venue. The artist selected for the members’ exhibition is responsible for insuring the works, but the Turku Artists’ Association is responsible for transporting the works to the HAA gallery.
Selections of works are made anonymously based on the application material. All applicants for exhibitions will be notified of the results. Jury or the Turku Artists’ Association do not justify the selection of works.
