The 98th Annual Exhibition of Turku Artists’ Association 15 July – 28 August 2022

The 98th Annual Exhibition of Turku Artists’ Association will be presented at Kunsthalle Turku from 15 July – 28 August 2022.

The Annual Exhibition of Turku Artists’ Association is a tradition going back nearly 100 years. The Annual Exhibition 2022 is the 98th of its kind, and the call for applications was open to all artists and artist collectives from Southwest Finland. For many budding artists, the Annual Exhibition of Turku Artists’ Association is the first chance to exhibit their pieces. It also offers the public a snapshot of the current activities in contemporary art.

The essence of the Annual Exhibition is always shaped by its curator. This year, the exhibition was juried by visual artist and author Heikki Kännö who selected pieces from 38 artists after reviewing a staggering 160 applications. The exhibition is a diverse selection of pieces featuring a large range of techniques and themes: paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, graphics, collage and videoworks.
