The collective exhibition of the Turku Artists’ Association is on display in the Small Gallery of Kunsthalle Turku. All of the members of the association are invited to join the exhibition, representing a wide range of visual arts. During the exhibition, the visitors can vote for the Turku Artists’ Association’s Artist of the Year.
WINTER SALON 2020 is Turku’s version of the Parisian Salon d’Automne. In France, the salon tradition started as early as in the 17th century, and the Salon d’Automne is still a vital part of the art scene in Paris. Over the decades, the essence of the salon has seen many changes with communities and groups of artists around the world setting up their own versions of the salon.

One of the artists in the exhibition will be elected the Turku Artists’ Association’s Artist of the Year. This time, the artist will be elected by a public vote during the run of the exhibition. Turku Artists’ Association was shortlisted for Turku Resident of the Year 2019. The association would like to thank everyone for this recognition and invite all the city dwellers and visitors to see the exhibition and vote for their favourite artist! The Artist of the Year 2020 will be announced at a later date after the end of the exhibition.
